BackLink: A hyperlink from another website that leads to your own. The amount quality backlinks a website has is one factor in determining its ranking in search engines. Linking websites pagerank, link keywords and relevance are some of the values determining the quality of a backlink. A backlink from a well respected website with a good pagerank isn’t just for search engines as many users may find their way over through the backlink. Depending on the linking websites traffic volume, building backlinks strictly for the traffic isn’t a bad idea.
